V-Show's Opening Night Nears

"A lot of energy and hard work has gone into the production of this year's Variety Show," explained Kathy Owen '65. "We know it will be a great success."

This year V-Show will be Feb. 4th, 5th, and 6th, in the Maine West auditorium. Tickets for the V-Show are on sale in the school bookstore and at Maria Schaeffer's Music Store.

The theme of the '65 Variety Show is "Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow." The 38 acts will follow this theme in order. It is divided into three parts: Yesterday, which covers the past events of history; Today, which covers the present happenings; and Tomorrow, which covers future events.

Under the excellent direction of Kathy, this year's V-Show will surely be an overwhelming success. Behind Kathy is a driving force which impels the staff of V-Show to work harder. Staff, Directors

Under the leadership of Mr. Garth Boyer, faculty director; and Mr. George Blanas, Mr. Robert Pelikan, Mr. Robert Kuite, and Mr. Larew Collister, faculty sponsors; the staff: Bob Cizek '65, music director; Rich Hudson '66, assistant music director; Connie Lambrecht '66, choreographer; Fran Urban '66, Ethel Koehier '65, Sue Nehring '67, and Donna Hosteller '66, assistant choreographers; Randy Black '66 and Cheri Mercer '66, set

Linda Petkus '65, coordinator of V-Show, commented, "The production still has a lot of work, but it's coming along just fine. We have a lot of good talent this year which will help the show become the best one yet."

Past Retold

Some of the acts following the theme of the past are "The Flicker," which has to do with old time pictures (headed by Paul Hummel '66). Another fine act is "The Early Birds." It's about the old time flying machines of history and is headed by Donna Hostetler '66.

Future Revealed

The future has a number of great acts. The dance chorus performs a "Computer Dance"; and the trombones, headed by Rich Hudson '66, play "Pink Panther" and another song selection. In the act the "Proposal" the people of today will see how a young man proposes marriage in the future.
