Society calls youth
Lost Generation

There's a saying that some people are 'born leaders.' Although that statement might not be entirely true, certain individuals do become leaders. With the position of leadership, comes a responsibility and an obligation.

The hope of our country lies in the leaders of our generation. There's much concern over the moral and spiritual values of today's youth; and unless there is leadership, high standards can't be maintained.

The leaders of our school are found in the many clubs and organizations that Maine offers. These groups are willing to make leaders and raise the standards of the school. Leaders and those with leadership potential should take advantage of the training that is available at Maine. The example that
the leaders of today set down not only affects the teenagers here at Maine today, but the world of tomorrow. In this respect, leadership should be the concern of everyone. It should also be a serious matter to those who are credited as being leaders of the school.

Society call the youth of today the 'Lost generation,' and perhaps this is true in some ways. Teenagers of today are lost in that they're looking for an ideal to pursue. Leaders of today's generations should be the ideal these teenagers follow, often they are the ideal. In this sense the leaders of Maine West and all leaders of today's youth, hold the future of our generation in their hands.
