MW Director Prophesizes Success For Stage West |
||||||||||
| "This year's V-Show should be a great success because we have many different and interesting acts," prophesized Kathy Owen, this year's Stage West director. This brown-haired, brown eyed senior has been active all of her four years at Maine West. She was on Class Council, and is now on Student Council. She is a Senior Leader, belongs to Aquiana, Thespian Society, Human Relations, and her name is seen on the B-Honor Roll at every quarter. Kathy likes Maine West very much and says that the faculty is always ready to lend a helping hand. When asked what she thought of the school spirit here at Maine, she said, "The school spirit is not too hot!" Kathy plans to attend either Miami of Ohio or Michigan State. |
Talking with Kathy a little longer we learned that the biggest problem concerning V Show this year is the fact that it is being presented in February instead of April. There are 35 acts in the show and they are progressing very nicely. Kathy said that the staff has been working on V-Show since school let out last year. The kids who are in the acts have been working since try-outs in November, and who knows how long before that. Kathy has put in a lot of time on V-Show. During the months of November and December she worked at school every day until 5 p.m. This month you can see her in the halls until 7 p.m. "Kathy has really been busy and is doing a wonderful job as this year's director of the show," proclaim many of her friends. Kathy's last comment was, "I couldn't have done without the help of Linda Petkus '65." |
