'Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow' Premieres...

Stage West '65's opening night, Feb. 4th, presented the result of the originality and imagination which the staff has put into the show.

Work began last May, and planning for the show was done over the summer-the name was chosen, the basic framework of the show was formed, and students began assembling acts.

In the fall, publicity had already started; and by November, acts were trying out.

During Christmas vacation the dance chorus, headed by Connie Lambrecht '66, was practicing numbers; and students were perfecting their skits, songs, and dances.

Rehearsals became fewer and time lessened until the first dress rehearsal was held on Feb. 1st.

The hard work put into the show has given Maine West one of the best V-Shows in its history. Evidence of this fact is shown in the pictures on these two pages.
V-Show has many people to thank for its success: the production staff, headed by Mr. Garth Boyer, faculty director; Kathy Owen '65, director; and Linda Petkus '65, coordinator; the band, conducted by Mr. Robert Kuite, faculty music director; Bob Cizek '65, music director; and his assistant, Rich Hudson '66.

Also, the Art Department, directed by Mr. George Blanas, contributed to the show through the efforts of Randy Black '66, Michael Brennan '66, and Cheri Mercer '66, art directors; and Gail Horn '65, Pat LaSalle '65, and Jane Wolski '65, costume designers.

The Stagecrafters and their sponsor, Mr. Robert Pelikan, built the sets; and Student Council financed the show, with Robin Swain '66, as producer. Mr. Larew Collester, SC's sponsor, helped supervise SC work.

Other members of the staff are Val Dawson '65, makeup chairman; Mark Weaver '67, stage manager; Paul Hummel '65, lighting head; and Dan Colvin '65, chairman of programs.
