| Boasting an unblemished 9-0 Conference record, the Warriors journey to Prospect tonight for a Conference tilt with the knights. Coach Warren Collier's boys, victorious over Glenbrook North in their last outing, will be pulling out all the stops in an effort to knock MW into a tailspin Overcoming the stalling game played by Niles North, the Warriors romped to their ninth straight win in the M.S.L. Tuesday in the MW gym. The 62-37 victory enabled the Westmen to maintain the distinction of never having lost a game in the history of the Conference. After the first quarter, in which MW could get only eight points due to the Viking stall, Bill Verber and Ted Wolter began pilfering North's passes. The Westmen then pulled away, leading 24-12 at the half. The Vikings never recovered. Leading the Warrior attack were Stoney Jackson and Jim Smith, with 20 and 14 points, respectively. Two weeks ago, Coach Freeman's team gave Forest View a lesson in "class." Down 45-41 at the end of the third quarter, the Warriors ran up nine straight points, seven by center Jim Smith, to run on to a spectacular 64-48 showdown win over the Falcons. |

| The Westmen have cinched this year's Mid Suburban League title, and a win tonight would mean that only Forest View would stand a chance of ruining MW's bid for a 14-0 season. The FV game is scheduled between contests with Wheeling and Niles North, the weak sisters of the Mid Suburban League. Utilizing the 1-2 scoring punch of Jim Smith and Stoney Jackson, the West five walloped Glenbrook South 63-46. |
