Classes Build Unique Floats

Saturday, October 2, officially starts the 1965 Homecoming. Float building will begin tomorrow from 9 am. to 5 p.m. Students will not be allowed to work on Sunday. Floats may be built during the week of Oct. 4‑8, Monday through Thursday 4‑10 p.m., and Friday, 4‑10 p.m. The theme for Homecoming this year is "Literature." Four clubs and the four classes will participate in the annual Homecoming parade. The Seniors, Juniors, Sophomores, and Freshmen will sponsor floats. Also the Girls' and Boys' Clubs will combine to build a float. Pep Club and M Club, Student Council, German Club, and AFS will also sponsor floats.

The Junior Varsity game will begin at 12:00 p.m. Saturday afternoon against the Palatine Pirates. Between the JV and Varsity games, the annual Homecoming parade will march around the field, during which time the floats will be judged and first, second and third places will be announced.

The 1965 Homecoming Queen will be announced with her court during half‑time of the Varsity game.

The Homecoming Dance on Saturday night will provide a delightful conclusion for our 1965 Homecoming Week.
