Friday, May 20, is the date of the annual fashion show presented by the clothing classes. At 8 p.m. in the Maine West auditorium, these girls will model the clothing which they have made during the year.
According to Mrs. Lucille Stiles, Home Economics department chairman, everyone is invited to come. There will not be an admission charge.
This show is not just to show the fashions that the girls have made but also to culminate the year's work. Along with ending the year it will also provide a learning experience which will help the girls to develop poise and to look well in what they wear.
Department awards will also be given at this time. The Betty Crocker Contest and the Penny Flame Cherry Pie Contest winners will be given their awards, and the Home Economics Club officers will be recognized.
All the students in Clothing I, Clothing II, and Clothing III are required to participate by modeling the clothing which they have made.
Some of the girls in Clothing III will model dresses of their own design.

The girls in Clothing II made formals and children's clothing. The children's clothing will be modeled by the children for whom it was made.
The other fashions include: sportswear, school clothes, wool suits and dresses, and coats.
Mrs. Charlotte Hetrick, Clothing II and Clothing III; Mrs. Alison Best, Clothing I; Miss Suzanne Horgan, Clothing I; and Mrs. Karen Shannon, Clothing I, have been helping the girls all year; and now they are working on the final plans.
Refreshments made and served by the foods classes and the Home Economics Club will conclude the evening's events. Mrs. Shannon and Miss Norma Benner will assist the girls in this task.
The girls in the show will write the commentaries for their own garments in conjunction with the still undecided theme of the show.
A committee of students and teachers is still discussing the theme.
Tryouts for commentators were held April 19 in the auditorium.
