In Council

The work of this year's Student Council reached its climax during Election Week. Now Council's activities will start to taper off. Perhaps the one remaining highlight will be the Living Pictures Assemblies to be held in May.

Student Council, however, still has many smaller projects which benefit the students.

Names have been submitted to send important members of the Student Council for extra Council training at the summer camps open for that purpose. Our Care Drive will help many of those in need.

Results from the Student Council Representative Elections will be known soon. Plans are also under way to help prepare those who will someday be leaders in our Student Council.

Council is sponsoring a Junior Leadership Convention. This convention will have various speakers talk on the many facets of leadership. Then the students will start to think for themselves about leadership in the discussions following the talks.

Also, a special ‑ though belated ‑ birthday greeting is extended to our foreign exchange student, Velma Welch.
