Dropouts Become Desperate

Are you tired of coming to school every day? Beginning to tire of homework, tests, and being on your best behavior? Do you feel like dropping out? DON'T! Many 11 students feel that if they drop out they will be free of all their problems which evolve around school. This is a terrible mistake. When one drops out, his problems are just beginning.

Dropouts find it difficult to get a good job. They have little or no chance for advancement. Eventually employers begin looking for a more competent employee, and a high school graduate will probably get the dropout's job. Unemployment will be a constant problem. If a dropout has the good fortune to find a job, he probably will not earn enough money to support

himself or a family if he happens to have one. Many dropouts become desperate and have to resort to underhanded methods of earning a living. Their lives becomes steadily more degrading and may lead them to jail.

Why should one risk an entire life of unhappiness for just one more year of school? The disadvantages of dropping out far overwhelm the advantages. Any student who is planning for the future will remain in school. It will surely pay off in future years.

Active participation in school events makes high school life much more enjoyable.
