Club Plans Banquet At Elks Hall

On May 4 the Distributive Education Club will hold its sixth annual banquet. This year the Annual Distributive Education Employee‑Employer Banquet will be held at the Elks Club. The theme of the banquet will be "D.E. Keys to Success."

The purpose of this banquet is to show the students' appreciation to contributing employers for the understanding and training they have given. This is the students' opportunity to say "thank you." A certificate will be given to each of the employers as a token of appreciation.

Carol Van Dyke '66 is the general chairman of the banquet committee. The entertainment committee headed by Mary Benso '67 has employed a four piece combo for the enjoyment of all.

The decorations, consisting of a back‑drop of keys, will follow the general theme. Each key will bear a letter to spell out the words Distributive Education.

The local business establishments participating in the program this year are Des Plaines Rexall Drugs, Brown's Department Store, Burchard's Service Cleaners, Ben Franklin's, Words and Music, Des Plaines National Bank, National Food Stores, Oakton Hardware, Woolworth's, First Federal Savings and Loan Company, and Spiegler's Department Store.
