Warriors Drum Beats

Once again our roving reporter has been seen in the halls bothering students for quotes. This week's question is "What do you think of the amount of homework given in the fourth quarter?"

Kathy Scheuneman '66 ‑ I don't think it's very bad at all, except for an English IVE term paper.

Mary Franzen '67 ‑ We nature hunters would rather hunt nature.

Betty Zdanowski '69 ‑ We should drop the third quarter altogether.

Charlotte Freeman '67 ‑ All major work is given during the fourth quarter ‑ term papers and finals. We have enough of those without homework.

Burt Lucas '66 ‑ There seems to be an increase in homework to prevent the seniors from graduating in only four years.

Tom McKenna '68 ‑ We need more homework to keep our minds on schoolwork, not somewhere else. Homework is good; it stimulates the mind.

Darlene Jackson '67 ‑ Auspicious occasions such as Easter come but once a year, and a student should be able to revive in the holiday spirit. This is impossible to accomplish under the oppression of homework and additional pressures on our mental processes.

Larry Janssens '66 ‑ With spring and many boys getting jobs, homework should be cut to a minimum.
