Society To Hold Initiation Today

The National Honor Society will hold its annual initiation tonight at 8:00 in the auditorium.

The newly elected members were chosen by the teachers from a list of those eligible. If you are a junior, you must have had no grade below a B. To be eligible if you are a senior, you must have had a B average.

Elected each year are 5 percent of the juniors and 20 per cent of the seniors. Adding the 5 per cent of the seniors elected in the previous year, there are 25 per cent of the seniors in the Society.

The initiation will consist of a processional, an introduction, speeches on the requisites for membership, the initiation of the new members, a talk by Mr. Ralph Frost, assistant superintendent, the recessional, and a reception.

The introduction will be given by Larry Hofmann '66, president of the Society. After the introduction speeches will be given by members of the Society. John Hollenback '66 will speak on character, Nancy Carlson '66 on service, Bob Burgess '66 on leadership, and Carol Collister '66 on scholarship.
