The Pep Club Awards Dessert will be held on Monday, May 16, at Nielsen's Restaurant at 6:30 p.m. Members must have paid their $3.00 in the bookstore by May 2 in order to attend. All of the coaches have been invited. New officers will be initiated at this time, and awards will be given out.


Yearbook pictures and I.D. pictures will be taken on Monday and Tuesday, May 9 and 10, in the auditorium. Freshmen, sophomores, and juniors will have ID. pictures taken while only freshmen and sophomores will have their pictures taken for next year's yearbook. Juniors will have their pictures taken at school in August. Information will be given to juniors at an assembly in early June. For the pictures on May 9 and 10, all girls are requested to

wear a simple, solid-colored blouse or sweater; and boys should wear a white shirt, a tie, and a suit coat or a white shirt, a tie, and a dark-colored sweater. Pictures will be scheduled by the Dean of Students through English classes. Announcement of the schedule will be made at a later date.


Students will take the Scholastic Aptitude Test at Maine West tomorrow, May 7, from 8 to 11 am., if they have signed up to do so. This test is mainly for seniors, but juniors may also take this test. Scholarships may be obtained by taking the SAT. The next SAT will be given on July 9. The deadline to sign up is June 11. The cost of the test is $4.50. Over 200 colleges and universities require SAT student scores as a requirement for admission.
