The Intramural volleyball tournament was held with the seniors, juniors, and sophomores. Coach Ken Olson's third period gym class was the senior championship team. Members were Bob Kunkel, John Burkman, John McNurney, Burt Lucas, Randy Gill, and Mike Albrecht.

The Junior volleyball champs were from Coach Richard Carlini's fifth period gym class; and they were Jim Karberg, Phil Perry, Everet Gaare, Bob Hovet, Bob Pease, and Mark Krebs.

Intramural director Coach Miley Hotchkiss's sixth period gym class won the sophomore volleyball championship. Members of the team were Bob Briskey, Roy Hellmer, Allan Long, Tom Helms, Craig Madoch, and Carl Dudczak.

Each year the Intramural department awards trophies to two members of each class. The awards are won on a point system, and each competitor must compete often to stand a chance of winning such an award.
