Henrici's Ballroom To Host '66 Prom

"The senior prom will be the most beautiful and memorable event of our four years in high school," remarked Joy Heckenbach, one of the members of the prom committee.

"Too Soon A Memory" is the theme of this year's annual senior prom to be held on June 3 at 8:30 p.m. in the Grand Ballroom of Henrici's O'Hare Inn.

The attire is formal, meaning gowns for the girls and tuxedos for the boys. Punch and cookies will be served as refreshments, while the Wayne Markworth Orchestra plays.

Committee members for this year's senior prom are Vicki Shine and Cohn Baenziger, prom chairmen; Peggy Fisher, publicity chairman; Joy Heckenbach, bids; and George Kinstedt and Bruce MacDonald, invitations.

As an added attraction the seniors will be given the opportunity to take the Dream Train after the prom. "All Aboard," as the after prom party is entitled, will include many events to be remembered.

At 11:45 p.m. the seniors and their dates will go for a midnight snack at the Elks Club in Des Plaines. From there at 12:30 a.m. they will board buses for the "Dream Train Dell View." They should arrive at the Dream Train about 1:30 a. m.

After recreation time a buffet luncheon will be served. The lunch will be at 11:45 am. preceding the bus trip from Dell View to the Wisconsin Dells. The bus will leave at 12:30 p.m

The students will then take the Dream Train, leaving at 1 p.m. to Glen View. Their arrival in Glen View is approximated at about 4:30 p.m. Buses will await them to take them to the Elks Club in Des Plaines to end their prom week‑end.

Aboard the train will be two trained nurses to insure the safety of everyone. Also to insure safety there will be lifeguards at the pools and free insurance for the students and adults. No alcoholic beverages will be permitted.

Fathers of students will provide the adult supervision on the train. Mothers and fathers will be on duty at Dell View, and all recreational facilities will be supervised by adults.
