Girls To Model Fashions at Show

"Carousel of Fashion" is the theme of this year's Home Economics Department fashion show to be presented Friday, May 20, at 8 p.m. in the auditorium. At this time the girls of the clothing classes will model the fashions they have made during the year.

Among the awards to be presented at this time will be the departmental awards, the Betty Crocker Contest award, and the Penny Flame Cherry Pie Contest award. Special recognition will also go to the Home Economics Club officers.

The show will feature 160 students, from the Clothing I, Clothing II, and Clothing III classes, who will model the clothing they have made. In addition, there will be eight children who will model clothing which has been made for them by the

students. Some of the Clothing III students will model dresses of their own design. The girls of Clothing II will model formals.

To conclude the evening's events will be refreshments made and served by the foods classes and the Home Economics Club, sponsored by Mrs. Karen Shannon and Miss Norma Benner.

The commentators for the show, who were chosen on April 19 in the auditorium, are Cindy Jacobsen '66, Lorraine Jensen '69, Lynn Lee '68, Bobbee Saxe '67, Jill Schlanbush '67, and Julie Schlanbush '69.

There will be no charge for admission; and Mrs. Lucille Stiles, Home Economics Department chairman, invites everyone to come.
