The Brotherhood Dessert sponsored by the Brotherhood Society will be held on Friday, May 27, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. in R‑104. Sunday dress will be appropriate for the occasion. The Brotherhood Society will also hold a car wash at D‑wing on Saturday, May 21, from 8 am. until 4 p.m. The cost will be $1 for all students except juniors. The juniors are only required to pay 75 cents because their prom is that evening.
On Tuesday, May 24, at 7:30 p.m. the GAA will hold its Awards Dessert. The program will include the installation of officers and the presentation of all awards. The awards will be given for participation points and service. Lee Winski '66 and Diane Schettko '66 will receive their fourth year awards with accumulations of over 300 points.
The Music Awards Banquet will be held Thursday, May 26, at 6:30 p.m. in the Maine West cafeteria. The Awards Banquet is sponsored by the Maine West Boosters and the Kiwanis Club of Des Plaines. Tri‑M, whose sponsor is Mrs. Mildred Heidorn, will initiate 23 new members, and a "top‑notch" award will go to the most outstanding senior in Tri‑M. The Kiwanis Club will present 4‑year awards to 20 band students, 15 choral students, and 12 orchestra students. Both a John Phillip Sousa and a National Orchestra award will be presented. Arion awards will go to the outstanding senior in band, in orchestra, and in chorus. The 1966‑67 Music Boosters Board will be announced.

Everyone is invited to the AFS reception on Tuesday, May 24, at 8 p.m. In bidding farewell to us, Gus Herrero '66 and Velma Welch '66 will talk about their present impressions of the U.S. Marianne Bretsnyder '66 and Terry Ritter '66, host sister and brother, will reciprocate and speak of life with Gus and Velma. Mr. Herman Rider, Dr. Earle Wiltse, and Mr. Virden Waters, who is the AFS chapter president, will speak. All in attendance will then retire to the faculty lounge where refreshments will be served. The reception will end early enough so that students participating will have time for studies.
The Orchesis Club will present its dessert and dance, for the families of club members, on Friday, May 20, from 7:30 to 9 p.m. Orchesis Club members will perform five dance numbers for which they chose their own music and choreography. New members may join the Orchesis Club during its May 25 meeting after school in the C‑wing gym.
On Wednesday, May 25, at 7:30 p.m. the Business Education Club will present the Business Education Awards Dessert. The awards will be presented in the auditorium, and parents of club members are invited to attend. Certificates or pins will be presented for every business education course. The awards will be given for Typing I, Typing II, Steno I, and Steno II. The outstanding students in accounting will receive pins, and 40 math certificates will be issued by A.M.S. Refreshments will then be served in the cafeteria.
