The hard‑working 5' 10" physical education teacher is Mrs. Margaret McCaw. Mrs. McCaw became a permanent teacher in February this year. She plans to remain here next year.
After much deliberation Mrs. McCaw advised students to "get as much schooling as possible and learn to relax."
Junior and senior physical education classes occupy Mrs. McCaw's time this year. She says that the juniors are unruly at times but usually do cooperate and are a challenge to teach. The seniors are also cooperative. 'The student body as a whole is respectful to the faculty," Mrs. McCaw admitted.
Her pet peeves are students who do not take a sincere interest in physical education and students who think it is a snap course.
If she could change anything at Maine West, Mrs. McCaw would add more gymnasiums and not place them at the ends of the wings.

This year she is sponsoring intramural golf. During her free time Mrs. McCaw bowls, swims, raises violets, and plays on a volleyball team. If she has any time left after these activities, she just relaxes.
Before coming to Maine West, Mrs. McCaw taught at St. James High School in Missouri for two years. This year she was substitute in the Maine district before assuming her present duties.
Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg, Missouri, is her alma mater. Mrs. McCaw attended Stover High School in Stover, Missouri, near the Lake of the Ozarks.
Any state that is warm all year round is a favorite with her. She has traveled through most of the middle states but not extensively.
According to Mrs. McCaw getting out of school seems to be the most important thing to the students at Maine.
