Twelve new peppy Pom Pom girls have been chosen for next year's squad. They are Jan Bollet, Charlotte Freeman, Beth French, Jan Grubert, Pam Kariotis, Linda Larson, Katie Levan, Meg Lucas, Carol Mollenkamp, Linda Pinzke, Sheila Quinn, and Jill Schlanbusch. Six of these girls have already been on the squad for one year.
Clinic for preliminary tryouts was held May 18, 19, 20. The tryouts then took place on Monday, May 23. The finalists were 24 girls, chosen from the original 68 and the six girls from this year's squad. They had one day to rest and then on May 25, a one‑hour clinic was held for the girls to learn the routine for the final tryouts. This routine was made up by this year's co‑captain, Fran Urban.
Certain categories that the girls were judged in are pep, appearance and smiling, rhythm group harmony, kicks, co‑ordination, motions, and reaction to school representation.
Instead of calling the new squad, the seniors surprised each girl with a mum at her house. The next day, Friday,
May 27, the 12 happy members wore their mums in recognition of making the Pom Pom Squad.
Next year's officers and chairman for Pep Club were announced at the May 16 awards banquet.
The new officers are Nancy Gunn '67, president; Dee Vrastiak '68, first vice‑president; Sherri Catardi '67, second vicepresident; Jan Erickson '67, secretary; and Diane Cozzi '67, literary co‑ordinator.
The new committee chairman are Pat Zawodnk '67, projects; Janie Leis '69, publicity; Jan Spear '69, assistant; Diane Karninski '68, sales; Ruth Christian '67, assistant; Mary Steele '67, social; Nancy Bouda '68, assistant; and Sue Hewes '67, points; Carol Vandermark '68, assistant.
Class officers for the year 1966‑67 were elected the last week in April. Chosen for the senior class were Joe Richardson, president; Katie Levan, vice‑president Marcy Richey, secretary; and Laurie Andropolis, treasurer.

Elected to the same ranks for next year's junior class were these sophomores: Bill Robertson, president; Linda Wells, secretary; Ellen Sangster, treasurer; and Greg Essig, vice-president.
The final results of the elections of the class officers for next year's sophomore class have not come in. Freshman class officers will be chosen in the beginning of the next school year.
The Pegasus Club Horse Show which was held in May, was the highlight of the club's year.
The winners of the different classes were Pauline Ruge '69, costume; Robin Van Osdol '69, beginner games; Karen Felix '67, advanced games; Diana Waldier '66 and Cindy Linke '67, pairs; Pauline Ruge '69, beginner equitation; and Carol Leidke '68, intermediate equitation
In the advanced equitation class Karen Felix was selected as champion, and Diana Waldier was named reserve champion. As this was the second time that Karen has received the award, she will be able to keep the club's traveling trophy.
Next year's officers were selected at a recent meeting. Presiding over the club will be Cindy Linke '67, president; Karen Felix '67, vice‑president; Robin Van Osdol '69, treasurer; and Melanie Randell '69, secretary.
Adult Education Data Processing course will begin its second term on September 27, 1966. Each term lasts three years, with a new term starting every fall. The school year is divided into four quarters of 12 weeks each. Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday evenings, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., have been designated for class and laboratory instruction sessions.
Mr. Alexander S. Kruzel, Director of Adult Education stated, "The continual growth in this field has created many opportunities for new jobs. More than 50 percent of the people taking the course are working in data processing during the daytime. EDP is potentially a high income‑earning field."
