Seniors Present Comedy

Tryouts are over, and Harriet Hall and Mark Burchard have been chosen for the leading roles in the Senior Class play, George Washington Slept Here. The play will be presented October 21, 22, and 23. This delightful comedy satirizes the plight of a couple who buy a home because George Washington slept there. Their discovery of who really slept there makes this a hilarious play.

The other actors and actresses are Bruce MacDonald, Donna Hostetler, Dennis Doyle, Bonnie Gundelach, Beth Radcliffe, Gretchen Rivard, Leslie Howard, John Noyer, Anna Fahnestock, Devra Bredar, Trudy Souden, Wendy Geertz, Paul Hummel, Terry Ritter, Steve Wischweh, Brad Reay, John Austin, Karen Spalla, Pam Williquette, Janis Blume, Sue Perry, and Bob Stephenson.

Pam Bol and Linda Pinzke, student directors of the play, are pleased with the cast. With Teacher's Institute Day October 22, they hope this long weekend will encourage many students to come and see the always exciting opening night.

The class of '66 is really putting together a show to be proud of. All of the students should treat themselves to a laugh and see the funniest show ever presented at Maine West. Pete Kulik, Senior Class president, hopes "all the students come to the play and have a good time." Publicity chairmen Nancy Carlson and Peggy Fisher are getting a lot of help, but can always use more. They would like to see everyone come, parents and faculty included.

Mr. Boyer, director of the play, hopes to see a good turnout for Maine West's production of the funny Broadway play, George Washington Slept Here.

Various seniors are selling tickets to the class play. Tickets are on sale in the bookstore and at Maria Schaefer's in town. Tickets for Thursday sell for 75c, Friday for $1.00 and $1.50, and Saturday for $1.00 and $1.50.
