"This year's annual will feature a brand new cover, never before used by any Chicagoland high school yearbook," reported Wendy Geertz, editor‑in‑chief of the Legend. "Freshmen in particular should begin buying their Legends this year. Those who do not, usually regret not having a record of each of their four years here at Maine West."

Legends go on sale today and will continue to be sold through Thursday, October 21. They may be purchased at the

head of the cafeteria during all lunch periods. The price is $4.00 now, which may be paid in full, or $2.00 now and $2.50 in the spring.

The slight increase in price is to enable the production of a bigger and better book for this year's students. Maine East and Maine South have already been charging these amounts, but to us it will mean more pages and an all‑around greater yearbook.
