The presentation of George Washington Slept Here by the Class of '66 was an overwhelming success. Because the play was presented over a holiday weekend, the turnout was greater than on a usual weekend.
The leading roles were excellently portrayed. Bruce MacDonald, who played Mr. Kimber, seemed to fit into his part perfectly. The Fullers, Harriet Hall, Mark Burchard, and Donna Hostetler, had the same homey atmosphere that most families of this era had. Terry Ritter, who played Uncle Stanley, portrayed a difficult role well. The usual stories older people tell the younger was emphasized and brought out very humorously.
All roles were played professionally and delighted all who attended the performances.
Since the house itself was the main idea of the play, the scenery was dominate. It was put together superbly and very effectively thanks to Mr. Robert Pelikan and the Stagecrafters. These were: Jeanne Heller, Carol Buttner, Gerald Miceli, Phil Reich,

Make‑up and lighting often determine the success of a play. If these fundamental items were done sloppily, the whole play would have suffered.
However, the lighting crew, consisting of Cam Murdock, Dave Freer, Bob Henrich, Alex Schank, and Jan Bolm did a superb job. Those involved in the effective application of the makeup were Helen Lindquist, Donna Hostetler, Leslie Howard, Harriet Hall, Arlette Dawson, Judy Colebaugh, Anna Fahnrstock, and Mark Burchard.
Truly, thanks can go to the whole Class of '66 for sponsoring this play which will be remembered for a long time. Special commendation goes to Mr. Garth Boyer, drama teacher, who oversaw all aspects of the production, and Miss Streng and Mr. Frey, class sponsors, who diligently promoted the play.
