This year traffic court will be in session every Tuesday after school. Presiding as judges are Chris Nielsen and Gunther Semper.
Approximately 350 students drive to school every day. These students should remember that driving is a privilege. To protect this privilege traffic court will convene.
Offenses that most often bring students to court are parking in the wrong lots or not having Maine West stickers displayed on their windshield, although a few cases of speeding have been brought in.

Students must have a sticker visible on their car. This sticker is for the protection of the car owner. Sticker numbers will be on file so any car will be able to be identified.
Mr. Victor Giovannini and Mr. Richard Mueller are the sponsors of traffic council this year. They agree that the students are much better this year than they were last year. About student co‑operation in respect to traffic laws Mr. Giovannini says,
"Most of the kids have been exceptionally good, but there have been a few exceptions. These exceptions are being handled by the dean."
