Faculty Duels Lettermen;
Hope to Win

This year's annual Maine West versus varsity lettermen basketball game will be held at Maine East, Wednesday, December 1, at 8:00.

Dick Wells '66 will be coach of the lettermen, and Mr. C. Lawyer will be the faculty coach. Mr. Lawyer feels that this will be an unusually interesting game. He promises, "If the students behave themselves, the faculty promises to hold the score down." He has good reason for his optimism because the average weight of the faculty team is 220 pounds! As if the game will not be interesting enough, there will be entertainment provided during half‑time.

The faculty players will be: Mr. M. Curry, Mr. R. Goerne, Mr. F. Bencriscutto, Mr. R. Mueller, and Mr. J. Leming. Also competing are Mr. D. Magasmen, Mr. H. Fulk, Mr. P. Kardasz, Mr. T. Shannon, Mr. C. Lawyer, and Mr. D. May. But, Mr. Lawyer adds, no one really knows who is going to play until the night of the game. The "varsity" players have not been announced.

Mr. R. Kearns, sponsor of M‑Club, offered optimistic views as to the outcome of the game for the faculty. He stated, "The Maine West faculty hasn't lost a game yet, and I don't think it will in the future."

All in all, the varsity versus faculty basketball game may prove to be exciting as well as loads of fun.
