Business Club Sponsors Party

The Girls' Business Club, sponsored by Mrs. Nancy Kerby and Miss Dolores Broncato, will hold their annual Christmas Party in the cafeteria on December 15.

The true meaning of Christmas, which is sharing our happiness with others less fortunate than we, seems to get lost every year in the confusion of the holidays. But this Christmas Party aims to create a real spirit of the season in every heart of the guests of honors. These well‑chosen guests are forty underprivileged children from Maryville Academy in Park Ridge. They range from four years of age to ten years.

Of the more than 95 members in the club, more than one half of the girls have volunteered to buy a specific gift for each

child attending the party. In this way, Santa Claus (Mr. Jobst) can distribute to each child a wrapped gift chosen with his or her particular age in mind.

Refreshments, entertainment, and decorations are being planned by the officers: Barbara Manning '66, president; Renee Chapman '66, vice‑president; Sue Davis '66, treasurer; and Linda Koltz '66, secretary, and their committees.

"With the enthusiastic help of the club membership, this event should prove to be very successful. As a result of this initial endeavor, we hope to set an example and tradition for the Girls' Business Club and their Christmas Parties for the coming years," said Mrs.,Kerby.
