"The Home Economics Department Faculty Christmas Tea is an event which we anticipate with pleasure," commented Mrs. Lucille Stiles, chairman of the department.
The tea, which is held for the faculty and office personnel, has taken place during each of the six years since Maine West's opening. This year part of it was held on Thursday, December 9, in A‑106 for one half of the faculty and on Thursday, December 16, in C‑106 for the remainder. Serving will begin at 1:00 p.m.
The event is a cooperative effort of all the members of the Home Economics Department. The cooking, home planning, and interior design classes of Miss Norma Benner and Miss Karen Voorhees will

prepare the food and do the decorating for the tea. Other faculty members from the department who will serve as hostesses are Mrs. Alison Best, Mrs. Charlotte Hetrick, and Miss Suzanne Horgen. The Music Department will provide entertainment for the event.
Served at the tea will be the traditional favorite Wassail hot, spicy cider. Coffee or tea, cookies, fruit cakes, and various breads will also be offered.
As another expression of the Christmas spirit, a booklet of Christmas recipes and decorations, many of which will be served and seen at the tea, will be sent to each member of the faculty by the Home Economics Department.
