Hospital Gets Donated Gifts

Shriners Hospital for crippled children will receive 200 Christmas stockings on December 23. These stockings, filled with gifts, will bring a little happiness into the hearts of children who may never be able to walk up to Santa Claus and sit on his knee.

Girls' Club again sponsored their Christmas stocking drive, December 14‑22. One student in each homeroom was responsible for purchasing gifts with money that each homeroom contributed.

"In buying gifts," said Miss Linda Jenewein, one of the two sponsors of Girls' Club, who was interviewed earlier, "we hope that students will keep in mind these children may be bedridden and therefore will choose appropriate toys." Mrs. Meredith Tucker is the other sponsor.

Club officers are president, Kris Nielsen '66; vice president, Sue Anderson '66; secretary, Lynn Nielsen '67; and treasurer, Donna Lindfors '68.

Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children is located at 2211 North Oak Park Avenue in Chicago.
