Evergreen Park and Aurora West, the opponents in the second round, had won a contest previous to this one to make them eligible for the second round as had Maine West.

The lead changed hands three times with Aurora West finally winning with 350 points, Evergreen Park, second with 295 points, and Maine West, third with 260 points.
