Swim Team Takes Dive;
Loses Four

Although the varsity swim team tried hard to beat its opponents, they have lost the first four swim meets of this season.

On December 11 the Deerfield swim team sank Maine West by a score of 78‑17. Norm Hudson '67, Ron Wallace '66, Tab Fulle '67, and Larry Harrison '67 took second in the 200 yard medley relay. Dan Brinkman '68 and Fred Strutdhoff '67 swam to third and fourth places respectively in the 200 yard free style. Tom Wenzel '67, school record holder of the 50 yard free style, took second in that event and Jim Greenwald '68, fourth.

Chris Olander '69 raced to second in the 200 yard individual medley. Greg Gundling '66 splashed to a third in diving. Dave Eley '67 captured third in the 100 yard butterfly. G. T. Wenzel '67 took second and Keith Gyssler '67 fourth in the 100 yard free style. Chris Olander '69 and Norm Hudson '67 took second and fourth respectively in the 100 yard backstroke.

Tab Fulle '67 swam to third and Larry Harrison '67 fourth in the 400 yard free style. Dave Klamer '67 took third and Gary Robbins '66 fourth in the 100 yard breast stroke. Jim Greenwald '68, Dan Brinkman '68 Fred Strutdhoff '67, and Keith Gyssler '67 swam to a second place in the 400 yard free style relay.

On December 3 the MW swim team traveled to Glenbrook North. Chris Olander '69 took two first places in the 200 yard individual medley and the 100 yard back stroke; and G. T. Wenzel '67 took first in the 50 yard free style, but Glenbrook North won the swim meet.

On November 27 the Waukegan swim team defeated the MW Tankers by a score of 62‑33.

Chris Olander '69 won the 100 first in the 200 yard individual medley. Greg Gundling '66 took first in diving, and Dave Eley '67 swam to a first place in the 100 yard butterfly event.

On November 24 the Proviso West swim team invaded the Maine West pool and left victorious, 62‑33.

G. T. Wenzel '67 took first in the 50 yard free style event with Jim Greenwald '68 capturing second Chris Olander '69 won the 200 yard individual medley and Greg Gundling '66 scored a first in diving.
