"Where can you find many of Maine West's students on Friday nights?"
"Why at the 'Hut,' of course."
"What is a 'Hut'?"
"It's only the most exciting teenage club around, that's all."
"Well, how do you join and who runs it?"
"Oh, you fill out this application form, and they'll send you a membership card. The 'Hut' is run by Maine West teachers including Mr. Wallace Hommerding and Mr. Victor Giovannini."
"But what goes on there that is so spectacular?"
"Well, you see there are usually two combos playing each night. They take turns playing all night long; this is called a challenge. Then, at the end when the students are leaving, they vote for the combo that they liked the best. The winning combo then goes on to challenge others in the weeks to follow."

"Hey, I think I might go there. When did you say it was open?"
"It's open on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. It's also open sometimes on days during the week when we're off from school."
"What do most of the kids wear when they go there?"
"Well, just casual clothes. The girls can wear levis or school clothes. Speaking of clothes, the 'Hut' also has its own sweatshirts out."
"All in all, it sounds like a really swingin' place."
"Naturally it is, cause I go there every chance I get."
