The majority of students do not realize the amount of time and work necessary to produce the Legend, the school yearbook. Wendy Geertz '66, editor‑inchief, plans and directs the work to be done and checks to see that deadlines are met. Her other duties include making decisions about theme, cover, and the introductory color pages.
Under the supervision of Mr. George Walker, adviser, the staff meets every day for one period to work on the yearbook. Sue Olson '66, business manager, has a very busy schedule. Her duties consist of contacting the photographic and publishing companies, scheduling pictures, and handling financial matters.
One of the biggest problems in scheduling pictures is obtaining the cooperation of teachers and students. Complications may arise in the forms of failure of either the organization or the photographer to arrive on time, absence of the organization sponsor, or incorrect identification of individuals.
