Seniors Choose Site For June 3 Prom

Plans are already being made for this year's Senior Prom, "Too Soon a Memory." It has been decided that the prom will be held at Henrici's Restaurant on Friday, June 3. The dance will begin at 8:30 with Wayne Markworth's band playing and will become a memory at 11:30. The cost of the prom will be paid for from the Senior Class treasury.

Chairmen for the prom are Colin Baenziger and Vickie Shine. Their committees are headed by Peg Fisher, publicity; George Kinstedt and Bruce MacDonald, invitations; and Joy Heckenbach, bids.

After the prom, students will be able to attend the after prom party, sponsored solely by the parents. Chairmen for the trip are Mr. and Mrs. Ed Heckenbach. The party will begin after the students change into sports clothes and go to the Elk's Club for a midnight supper. Next, there will be a trip by bus to the Milwaukee Road train station in Glenview where the train will be boarded. The train will consist of coaches, a baggage car with a combo for dancing, and an additional car, all to be supervised by parents of the seniors.

The train will travel to the Dell View Resort in the Wisconsin Dells. At the resort the students will have access to indoor and outdoor pools, tennis courts, horseback riding, golf, shuffle‑board, ping‑pong, a movie, and other such activities. Also to be included will be a sunrise breakfast and a noontime buffet. The train will return to Des Plaines sometime Saturday afternoon.
