Now that V‑Show is here, it is time to thank all of the wonderful people who helped the Student Council and some 300 students make this year's show a success.

First of all a super‑sized thank‑you goes to Mr. Garth Boyer, general director of Stage West '66. Student Council also sends thanks to Mr. George Blanas, art and costume director; Mr. Verne Brownell, audio director; Miss Nadine Meyers, set director; and Mr. Robert Pelikan, lighting and construction. Seldom can Council convey sufficient thanks, for much of their time and work goes into the production of V‑Show. Thank you!

The main reason Council plans the V-Show is to provide participation for more than 300 students and to entertain the rest of the student body. V-Show supports itself. Kids who participate have a lot of hard work and fun.

Mr. Larew Collister, sponsor of Council says, "The Student Council is particularly grateful to the faculty members who produced the Variety Show, since proceeds from the ticket sales virtually constitute the Student Council budget. Council's program of student activities would be impossible without their help."

SC activities include: Homecoming, the Dial‑Tone, Hoang Ngut My, representatives to Camp Cheley, SC conventions, Election Week, the Path Scholarship, AFS bus stop, the Alma Mater, banners in the pool and auditorium, dues for the National Association of Student Councils and the Illinois Association of Student Councils, Student exchanges, the placement of the Spirit of Maine West in the main entrance, and many more items to make the list almost endless.
