Maine West girls have once more shown that with a lot of hard work and practice even students can beat the professionals‑the teachers. On January 26, Carol Currier '66 and her volleyball tournament championship team defeated the faculty team in two out of three games. The first game was won by the faculty by a score of 14‑5. Then the students rallied and defeated the faculty in the next two games‑the first by a score of 10‑6 and then by a score of 12‑10. |
New sports for GAA have begun. On Monday and Tuesday after school in C‑wing gym, basketball will be played by all interested girls; and on Wednesday and Thursday, there will be badminton. The best badminton players will be on the extramural badminton team which will play other schools. |
