'Route 66' To Ensue Tonight

"DETOUR "..."DEAD END" . STOP ""CAUTION".

Typical street signs on a typical road? No, these are just a small part of the road scene to be viewed at the unusual Freshman Class party, "Route 66."

This road view will be presented in the Maine West cafeteria, tonight, Friday, February 25, from 8:00‑11:00. In the background of this scene will be a service station and various road maps, emphasizing the theme.

The '69ers will offer to their parents three hours of fun and excitement. There will be door prizes, a freeze dance contest with trophies for the winners, dancing to the combo‑the Bandits ‑ and, of course, refreshments.

Then the scene will shift to the auditorium for a floor show with such entertainment as folksingers and dancers.

Arlene Hegg '69, class president, looks forward to the party with great anticipation. She exclaimed, "The party will be the greatest. I hope everyone turns out!''

Mr. David Henry, one of the class sponsors feels that "The Class Council and PTC have planned a really neat party. We hope there will be a great turnout because there are loads of delights in store."

Miss Clarice Burke, the other Freshman Class sponsor is also enthusiastic about the party. "After all of the many hard hours spent making decorations and the planning that went into the making of this party, we ‑all have great hopes as to the success of the freshmen's first PTC party."
