Dream Can Come True For 32
MW Students

A European tour is everyone's dream, but for present and graduate students this dream can come true during the weeks of August 1 through August 22. On the trip much of central Europe will be visited. Maine West students and students from the surrounding area may take the trip, which will be sponsored by Mr. and Mrs. Verne Brownell.

The tour conductor for the group of 32 is Mr. Brownell. Each adult is to be in charge of eight students, so there will be four adults and 32 students in each group. If there are not enough students to complete a full group, other persons may be added to groups with vacancies after arrival in New York.

The trip is said to be one of the finest "first time" European trips offered. An added attraction for the tour from Maine West is the proposed visit to the Netherlands where Carla Fasting, a former foreign exchange student to Maine West lives.

All meals will be provided on the tour, but "snacks" must be paid for by the individual. A special treat will be the customary European meal ‑ the Continental breakfast.

The plane trip will be made on a KLM Royal Dutch Airline Jet. The travelers will arrive in Glasgow and tour the famed Loch Lomond. Edinburgh will be visited next, where many of the Scotch war memorials will be seen. Then the group will go on to London, where three days will be spent with all the evenings and one morning free. Amsterdam will be the next city to be toured. Here the city and many war sights will be seen. The attraction of the trip to Cologne will be a trip on the Rhine River aboard a steamer. The trip will then go through Heidelberg, Lucerne, Interlaken, and finally, Paris. Both historical Paris and modern Paris will be seen by the group.
