On Friday, February 18, the gymnasts defeated Glenbrook North, 76‑56, in a meet held here at Maine.
Ray Mandel, Larry Janssens, and Dennis Zick worked the tramp for Maine, taking fourth, first, and fifth respectively.
On the next event ‑ side horse‑Don Clark took second, Larry Scully took first, and Ron Sass was sixth.
Working high bar for Maine were Jim Nerius, first, Ron Sass, second, and Jay Carley, fifth.
Ron Sass took first on the parallel bars, while Don Kennett took fourth and Ken Malten took sixth.

On the rings for the musclemen were Dennis Zick, who placed sixth, John Holtz, who was third, and Bob Wahls, who grabbed first.
Ray Mandel tumbled to a second and Dennis Zick to a first in this final event.
On February 11 the musclemen defeated a strong Palatine squad by the score of 69‑63. Janssens, Mandel, and Zick took first, fourth, and fifth, respectively, on the trampoline.
Coach Sid Drain believes that the musclemen have a "good chance" in this Conference meet.
The District meet will be held on March 5 and the State meet on March 11‑12.
