The Warrior track team held a meet with the other two Maine schools on Saturday, March 4, with South winning over Maine West, 71‑48, and Maine East, 74‑48.

In the two‑mile event West's Doug Chase came in first in 10:11.5. Weiss of East placed second in 10:24.4. Following were Jim Kesaris of West in 10:28.1, Sherman of South in 10: 31.1, and Braun of West in 12: 17.8, respectively.

In the 50‑yard dash Lossman of South set a new record of 5.8 seconds to win over Shauloe of East, Hooper of West, Hendricks of East, and Luebke of West.

In the 50‑yard high hurdles Shapgran of East won over Bob Richter of West, Hans of East, Marcus of East, and Robbin of East.

The 50‑yard low hurdles event was won by Possehl of South. Richter of West was the only Warrior to place.

In the 880‑yard run Lee LaBadie set a new meet record of 1:58.1 followed closely behind by Lusk with a time of 1:59.3.

In the mile run Lee LaBadie set a new record of 4:28.2 to win the mile event for West.

In pole vaulting Mueting of West won with a vault of 13' 3 3/4".
