Bowling Club ended their season with a banquet after school in the cafeteria on March 14. This was the first year that boys and girls combined into one Bowling Club, according to Miss Mildred McManus, sponsor. About 60 people attended the banquet which lasted until 5 p. m.
The highlight of the afternoon was the presentation of trophies for achievement. Among those so acknowledged were Mike Falsone and Carole Deske for high game, Rich Wagner and Ellen Johnson for high series, and Skip Gaare, Dave Glade, Tim Koelpher, and Linda Szymanski for first place team. Last place team received crying towels.
The Maine West Mothers' Club will hold its annual Scholarship Benefit Fashion Show and Luncheon at the Sheraton O'Hare on Tuesday, April 11. Proceeds from this affair will be used to provide scholarships for deserving students who will be graduating from Maine West this year. Last year three $400 scholarships were awarded by this organization. Brown's and Spiegler's of Des Plaines will display the fashions.

The Dads' Club Awards Night took place Wednesday, March 15, in the auditorium at 7:30 p.m. The Cheerleading and Pom‑Pon Squads were honored at the assembly. The "most valuable players" were chosen by their coaches from each of the winter sports‑gymnastics, swimming, basketball, and wrestling. Letters were given out to the boys who had earned them.
The American Legion Constitution Contest, sponsored by the Social Science Department of Maine West and the Des Plaines American Legion post, will be given in room A‑201 at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday, April 11. All Maine West students are eligible and must register with their social science teacher or Mr. Harlan Suffield in room C‑217 by Monday, April 10.
