Golf Team To Play Barrington |
The Maine West golf team will open its 1967 season in a meet against the Barrington Broncos. The match will be held at the Barrington Hills Country Club, the sight of the Women's Western Amateur Championship in 1966. The Warriors will return home for a meet with Elgin at the beautiful Park Ridge Country Club, the present home course or else play all their meets as away matches. |
The golfers practice their swing and form every day from 3 p.m. until about 4:15 p. in. Each boy hits about 225 balls a night. Last week the Warriors were still confined to the indoor track, but the golf courses are now open. The stickmen are practicing on the Lake Park course and other local courses. While on the practice courses, the Warriors work on everything involved in a regular meet. The major concern of the Warriors, while on the Lake Park course, is pitching and putting. |
