The Warrior baseball team ended up with a victory over Arlington last Friday, April 28, and a heart‑breaking loss to the Cougers of Conant last Thursday, April 27. This puts the diamondmen in a first place tie with Forest View which also has a 3‑1 record.
On Friday, April 28, the Warriors topped the Cardinals of Arlington by a score of 3‑1. The diamondmen started right off the bat in the first inning as two runs were knocked in. Tom Kehe led the Warriors off with a walk; Dick Manny slammed a double over the fence to put Kehe on third. Kehe moved home on a balk; and Harry Tistle scored Manny on a squeeze bunt.
Arlington scored their first run and only one in the second inning with Hecyt being driven in on single hits. The Warriors squeezed out a double play in this inning, which was one of three they turned out in the following innings.
Both teams went scoreless until the sixth inning when Harry Tistle hit a hard ground ball to the shortstop who couldn't hold on to the ball. Tistle scored when Bob Banger hit a double, well into the outfield. The

score remained 3-1 throughout the remaining innings to add another victory to the Warrior score book and to those of Harry Tistle who pitched the entire game.
West fell to Conant the previous day by a score of 4-2 because their runs were all scored on errors. The diamondmen led off with a run in the second inning, though, when Harry Tistle walked. Because of two balks, he advanced to third; then he stole home.
In the fourth inning Conant scored two of their runs. Allen singled; Maffat bunted and advanced Allen to second. A fielder's choice moved them to second and third respectively, and Biedryczki hit them in on a pop ball to right field.
Al Fritz made it to first base on a shortstop's error in the sixth inning, and Dick Manny hit Fritz in on a single to score the final Warrior run. The score was tied at 2-2.
In the seventh inning, though, the Cougars tallied up two more runs to end the score at 4‑2.
