Since the last Intramural report, the weightlifting championship has been held in all classes. The Senior strongman turned out to be none other than Ron Sass. He lifted 510 pounds on three different lifts.

Tom Leonard, lifting 470 pounds, was the Junior Class champ while Bill Schmeltzer took the Sophomore Class championship. The Freshman com petition wound up with Dan Brennan capturing 370 pounds in three lifts.

The Intramural Volleyball Tournament has also been completed in all classes. The winning team in the Senior division was Coach George Jorndt's ninth period class. Members of the team were Marc Bonniver, Rainer Paasch. Greg Dolphin, Bill Van Buren, Lee Redmer, Joe Elliot, Goeff Hiltwein, and Dale Haase.

The winners of the Junior tournament were Coach Richard Carlini's eighth period class. Members of his team were Jim Pagni, Jeff Cline, Steve Sogar, Mike Giezel, Pat Wehrung, Mike Wisniewski, and Dennis Jackacki.

The winners for the Sophomore Class were Russ Rudassky, Don Neuman, Bill Johnson, Bob Hensel, Dean Stecher, and Bob Klatt.

At present Mr. Miley Hotchkiss said that the Intramural water‑basketball is being played every Thursday after school. He also added that on May 19 he is planning a field and track meet on the Intramural level.
