Bill, Jan, Curt, Anita To Give
One-Act Play

Four Maine West drama students will entertain at the District Elementary School Teachers' meeting on May 24 at Forest Elementary School. They will present a one‑act play, A Marriage Proposal by Anton Chekhov.

The play was chosen as one of the best of 11 that were put on by the three drama classes, according to Mr. Garth Boyer, drama teacher. These plays were chosen, directed, and acted by the drama students.

The cast of this short play consists of Bill Nagel '67, Jan Bollet '67, and Curt Hayward '67. Anita Waskowski '67 is the student director.

A Marriage Proposal is a farce concerning an older Russian man who wishes to marry a girl who does not particularly care for him. After many arguments about dogs and property, he pretends to have a heart attack, and the girl consents to marry him.

The play will be presented in the afternoon and will be complete with costumes, makeup, and a few simple props.
