On Thursday, June 1, at 7:30 p.m. the annual Maine West Senior Dessert was held. For the first time the Dessert was held at night. Invitations to the Dessert went out to all Seniors, Senior homeroom teachers, and certain members of the administration.

Several committees worked to make the dessert a success. All of them were headed by Laurie Andropolis and Joe Richardson. The Invitations Committee was headed by Senior Marcy Richey, Programs and Superlatives Committee by Linda Virostko and Refreshments Committee by Joe Richardson.

Entertainment for the evening was provided by V-Show acts from this year's show. Later, the Senior superlatives were read as well as a part of the class will. The superlatives were sent out to all Seniors several weeks ago.

Mr. Rollin Porter, Senior Class sponsor, said, "Members of the planning committee for the Senior Dessert worked very hard to make the entire evening a success. Since this was the first time the affair was held at night, it was my hope that the attendance would not be affected too greatly and would not suffer. This was the last chance for the Senior Class to get together for a strictly social function before graduation. I was glad to see that so many people were there."
