WMTH, Maine High School's radio station, 88.5 on the FM dial, has begun regular broadcasting. The Maine Township High School station is on the air from 10:45 am. until 6 p.m. daily.
The station offers at least one program of interest to everyone. For the classical music enthusiast there is an hour and a half of classical music.
On Friday afternoon from 3:30 until 6 p.m., the station features the top 16 hits of Maine High School students. Comedy, contests, and top record albums are all a part of the fun on the Bill Millar and Bruce McGuinn show.
WMTH also provides its listeners with the latest news. At 5:30 p.m. each day 15 minutes of national and international news is aired with the cooperation of WJJD, a commercial station in the area.
Mondays, at 5:45 p.m. Dave Ackerman reports on Student Council activities in all three of the Maine schools.

Sports fans are not forgotten. Ron Roberg brings sports news of the past and present at 5:45 p.m. each Tuesday. Interviews with players, coaches, and fans highlight his show.
For Broadway Fans, Bill Plats features show tunes on Wednesdays at 1:15 p.m. Favorite songs will be played if requested by mail.
A newly enlarged staff of interested and enthusiastic students has launched the new season on WMTH radio station.
The main studio of the station is located at Maine East. Early programming during the day is broadcast to the Maine East cafeteria. This programming consists of light music and school announcements. The radio station goes off the air at the end of the school year.
