Tryouts for V‑Show are now in progress. They started on November 7 and will continue until approximately November 18. According to Arlette Dawson, director of the show, the students trying out will be notified as soon as possible as to the acceptance or rejection of their act.

Arlette also feels "very excited about the whole affair" because more act sign‑up sheets have been turned in this year than in any other year.

A new committee has been added to Student Council. The new addition is the AFS committee. Diane Fehrenbacher '67 is the chairman. Everyone is encouraged to get better acquainted with our foreign exchange student Sukru Gurel.

A human relations committee has also been formed as a special committee on Student Council. Sue Ziehn is the chairman of this committee.

This committee already has had a project. On November 11 they sent 15 delegates to a Human Relations Conference at Thorton High School in Harvey. The purpose of this meeting was to meet with students of all races and religions and to discuss ways to solve some of the problems of prejudice in the world today.

Lastly, congratulations are extended to Bill Robertson who has been nominated to run for the office of second vice‑president for the N. E. District of Student Councils. About 86 schools are involved in this election.
