"What this school needs is some dances, parties, and intra‑school activities!" Right? Like the tri‑school dance maybe?
The Westerner staff in collaboration with the Student Council of Maine West would like to question the student body concerning the lack of school spirit and participation in school‑sponsored activities.
For the first time in approximately three years the Maine Township schools planned an activity to include the student bodies of the three schools. The minimum number of tickets to be sold, about 300, had not been sold even after delaying the deadline.

The rule of couples could certainly not have prevented 200 students from purchasing tickets. This rule, incidentally, was initiated for the prevention of riotous groups that would spoil the enjoyment of the rest. If this dance would have been successful, stag dances might have been held in the future.
The few students and Council representatives who believed that both students had to be enrolled in a Maine Township school were mistaken. Only one student was required to have an ID card.
If neither of these two restrictions were to blame, what was it?
