M-Club To Confront Faculty December 7
In Annual Basketball Game Challenge

The annual M‑Club versus Faculty basketball game will be held at the Maine East fieldhouse on December 7 at 7 p.m.

Ed Lusk '67, M‑Club president states, "This is our chance to show off and build up our treasury." The coaches of the team are Jim Braun '67 and Jim Kesaris '67. Ed feels it will be a great team this year and predicts, "We are going to win!"

The price of the tickets is $.25. Funds from this game will go toward a scoreboard for the baseball field and toward the M‑Club dance.

"We hope there will be a good turn‑out, since there will not be a donkey basketball game; so come out and support us," remarked Ed.

The M-Club could not give away their strategy; but Ed did reveal, "We will wear the faculty down and let their ages get to them."

The faculty seems to have a different point of view. Mr. Charles Lawyer, coach of the freshman boys' football team, took time to organize a faculty squad for basketball. Mr. Lawyer remarked, "We enjoy playing basketball and think activities such as this game help promote school spirit."

The first string line‑up for the faculty will average about 240 pounds per man. Mr. Lawyer revealed, "We have decided to take it easy on M‑Club this year and will try to hold the score down to a lead of 20 points."

Mr. Lawyer stated, "We will out‑maneuver them with professional, dazzling, Globetrotterlike plays and feel we will win because of our superior bench strength. We also plan to make the most baskets in the least amount of time."

Half‑time entertainment will consist of a gymnastic performance under the direction of Mr. Sidney Drain and a judo demonstration. The Maine West cheerleaders will be cheering the teams onto victory along with the Pom‑Pon Squad, which will also add color to the activities.

The faculty team will consist of Messrs. Richard Fulk, Richard Mueller, Philip Kardasz, Donald May, Leonard Wilson, Robert Goerne, John Amason, Charles Lawyer, Karl Miller, Donald Magsamen, James Leming, Darold Herdes, and Fred Bencriscutto.
