Club Presidents Meet at MW

The first annual Pep Club Presidents' Conference was held on Saturday, November 19, with Maine West playing host to 15 neighboring schools.

Many ideas and plans were discussed, among them plans for a second workshop to be held at Maine South. Also brought up was the idea of an interschool pep club newspaper. Suggestions were made on bringing the pep clubs together in a more formal association. The sponsors and officers agree that some kind of unified body would be helpful.

Nancy Gunn '67, who presided at the meeting, commented, "The meeting was very beneficial to our club, as well as to the attending schools. Unity is important to an organization like Pep Club, and we feel this convention has helped to promote that feeling.

"Minutes have been sent out to all the participating schools, and we hope something will come of it soon."
