G.A.A. Says

G.A.A. will be taking time out from its busy athletic schedule for some political business. The G.A.A. constitution is in the process of being changed, and elections are planned for January. Miss Judith Coddington, G.A.A. sponsor, giving the reason for the constitution change, said, "We feel there are certain things which need to be updated and certain things which necessitated change." The elections will be held in January to fill vacant sporthead positions.

Gymnastics, under the direction of Miss Beatrice Dorchek and Miss Mildred McManus, began in November. They welcome all girls who want to come and work on the trampoline, parallel bars, and other equipment.

Ten teams are competing in the volleyball tournament, which began December 9. The tournament will last several weeks and will be held in C‑wing gym after school.

A mother‑daughter playnight is being planned for this January. Any G.A.A. member who wishes to work on a committee should contact either Miss Coddington or Linda Pagel '67, G.A.A. president. Recently, members of Maine West's G.A.A. were invited to attend playnights given by Prospect High School.

Plans for the third quarter's activities are being made. They will include badminton and the formation of a badminton team.
